Hello everyone! So I just finished re-reading the first 4 books of the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series, and I had such a fun time doing it! It is one of my most (if not my #1 most) re-read series of all-time, and I have probably read it 5 times now in total. But this great reading experience made me think about other books that I really really want to re-read in the near future! So for this installment of TBR Tuesday I’m coming to be sharing the top books on my re-read TBR!
Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
As often as I bring this book up in my blogs and channel, you would think I’ve read it more. But I think I’ve only read this twice in my life… which is just crazy to me! This book had an indescribably huge impact on my life; it made me a bookworm and made me feel less alone as a child. I own like four different copies of this book… I ought to at least read them all!
Everything Leads To You by Nina Lacour
I realized that I need to re-read this novel when I was filming a Top 5 Wednesday video in June. I was giving my top summer reading recommendations video and this was on my list… and I realized that I forgot so many of the characters names! For shame. This novel is in my like top 3 favorite YA contemporaries… and I’ve forgotten so many details of it! I just really want to experience the wonderfulness of reading this book all over again… and actually remember people and places and plots!
The Heroes of Olympus series
I mean it just makes sense, seeing as I’m about to finish my PJO re-read. Also i’ve only read this series twice which is just not gonna cut it for me.
Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
Another top favorite YA contemporary novel! That I read like 3 years ago! And have subsequently forgot the details of! I need to remedy this ASAP!
Just One Day by Gayle Forman
Favorite YA book of all time right here. But I haven’t read the sequels yet! And it’s been at least 3 years since I read this one as well. “Just One Year” and “Just One Night” are both on my top 10 books to read this year. But because those 2 sequels will most likely reference the events of this book, I definitely need to re-read the first one before i can even think about finishing the others!
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
I. Just. Love. This. Book. It is so well crafted and genius and engaging and smart and all of the things. But I weirdly haven’t finished the trilogy yet! But before I move onto the other 2, I need to remember the details of what happened to Darrow in the first book, and how Pierce Brown’s universe is set up.
The Lord of the Rings trilogy
It has been a minute since I read these books. Like 13 years? I was so young when I read LOTR – I was obsessed with the movies that were coming out and just had to get my hands on the source material immediately. Unfortunately a lot of it went over my head as far as the history and mythology… although I did manage to learn elvish at the time! But I truly think that if I re-read these books, I will genuinely understand them better and also read them faster. I think I am at a better age now to read them than I was then.
